Ms. Kristina (Tina) Kovach joined us as a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator in early 2016. Tina is Canadian but her career stages have alternated between Toronto and Orlando, FL. After graduating with her nursing degrees, she began as a staff OR nurse at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (APH). Several years later she returned to Toronto in a similar capacity at SickKids. APH recruited her back, and she returned as a staff RN in the pediatric CICU, where she spent five superb years caring for children with complex CHD during the development phases of our program. In 2010 we sought a new Assistant Nurse Manager in our cardiac OR, and Tina was selected for that position. In 2013 Tina returned to the homeland and acquired experience caring for adults at the Royal Vic. Seeking a change from clinical care and wishing to return to pediatrics, Tina now joins the Data Centre. She will come with 17 years of accumulated experience in pediatrics, and a passion for improving the lives of children and adults with congenital heart disease.
