AVS Study



This study was closed to enrolment of new patients December 31,2000

Criteria for enrolment:

  1. The patient diagnosed within 30 days of birth.
  2. They must have "normal" atrio-ventricular and ventriculo-arterial relationships, i.e. the pulmonary artery is connected to the RV, the aorta is connected to the LV, the RA is connected to the RV, and the LA is connected to the LV.
  3. We will include cases with VSD.
  4. We will be sure to include any cases that did not receive surgery, i.e. death prior to surgery, cardiac catheterization.
