TA Study Objectives



Overall Goal:

To assemble a multi-institutional inception cohort of patients with Tricuspid Atresia and normally related great arteries.

Objective 1:

To determine the impact of patient characteristics and management algorithms on outcomes of the Fontan track for infants with Tricuspid Atresia

Examples of risk factors to be examined:
Impact of staging
Types of Fontan connection
Impact of fenestration

Examples of outcomes:
Mortality
Morbidity - short term e.g. post-op complications, effusions, arrhythmias, length of ICU stays, and long term e.g. protein losing enteropathy, thrombolitic complications, arrhythmias, and ventricular failure

Objective 2:

To examine the overall health status and quality of life of patients with Tricuspid Atresia
